Review PN Racing Ultra Light alu diff shaft

Part # MR2045UL

The diff axle is actually a performance upgrade you really should consider. This is rotating mass at the worst part of the car.
The available axles so far has been steel and Titanium. The Titanium axles are quite a lot lighter than the steel ones.

A stock steel ball diff shaft weighs 3.58 grams
A titanium axle weighs in at 2.10 grams (Atomic. Other brands can differ some)
This new PN alu axle only weighs 1.29 grams!

The axle comes without the locking pin. This is for some a problem, but if you have an old axle you can easily pull this out and mount it in this one. You can also buy loose pins from PN. Part nr
Going from Ti to alu axle actually is noticeable. You can really feel the difference, especially when you are off throttle. The motor braking is very much increased.

Acceleration is also improved, and since it is much less mass to drag around, your batteries will last longer.

This axle is highly recommended.

You should also consider going a step further in reducing rotating mass. Check out the QteQ diff parts and Reflex Racing Spur.
