Review PNWC33

This is the official PN World cup modified motor.

  • Brush hood is the same as Atomic AD stock, AR30 and a few other motors as well. This means that brushes from Atomic also can be used.
  • Brushes. This motor comes with silver brushes. These appears to be exactely the same as the Atomic silver compund brushes. This is exellent, as both the PN and Atomic silver brushes lasts long, and gives a very good performance.
  • Can. The can comes as mentioned in a grey color, and the PNWC logo are etched in. Nice touch. There are also ventilation holes in the can that helps cool the motor.
  • Cables. The cables are very flexible, and easy to arrange in a way that don't give you tweak. They are a bit to long for my taste, but that is an easy fix.
  • Armature. The armature seems to be of good quality. 33 turns.
  • Failure rate: Of a total number of 15 motors used, we have had one unit that failed. We do nout understand why, but is seems to be an armature problem.
Performance:
This motor can be described as easy to drive. It has a very nice powerband. Very linear. The top speed is very good, and it has plenty of torque.
It is one of the absolute most driveable motors out there.
Even though it is a modified motor, it is safe to use on stock FET's on the 2,4GHz cars. You must change the FET's on AM cars.
Preferred gearing at our track: 10 - 11/ 53 (64 pitch).

Compared to:
Atomic AD stock: Same brush hoods. The AD stock is comparable when silver brushes are fitted. This is also a very nice driveable motor.
Atomic Stock-R: Not as diriveable. More top end.
