Z Racers Open 2013. Finland

Our friends over in Finland invited us over for a weekend of racing we will never forget.

I will keep it short for now.

The people were amazing! Very very high level of racing. Open environment. Everybody's sharing and takes care of eachother. Fantastic faclities. This must be one of, if not the best Mini-Z facilities in the world.

The level are extremely high, and the battles are hard. So much fun.
Team Jaegermeister pit, and KimZik's insane car park

I am happy to announce to you guys that Norway now has an official Jaegermeister team driver.

KimZik, Nobrainer, Ville & Vesa

3 Norwegians. 2 first timers that really had a great time, and found good speed duing the weekend. It is a very steep learing curve, and both of them really raised their level duing the weekend.
Lots of stuff going on at night, and some people claim to be hindered by this;)

Sweden had 4 very good drivers attending, with Dan Hedin, Niklas Fors (Look at those shoes/ Busfrø), Freddan Karlsson and Peter Lundin. All of them did a great showing and reprecented Sweden in a good way.
Very cool layout

Personally I had a great race. TQ in mod GT. 4 drivers within the same number of laps, and all within total time of 3 seconds. Very very tight.
In the a-final I kept the lead for 6 minutes before I had some concentration issues and smacked into a lapped car, hit a barrier and lost my rythm for a lap. This was enough for on of the flying finns to overtake me and never look back.
Ended up second just behind Mr Super Tuomas! Congrats on the great win. Very well deserved! Behind me I had two other insanely fast drivers. Jesse with P3 and Wallu on P4.

One thing that really stands out, and also says a lot about the whole atmosphere and mentality of the drivers. After the a-final, the top four drivers changed cars and tested eachothers setups. Fantastic stuff.
Have anyone ever experienced this in other types of racing or even RC classes before?

It was so much fun to try out the other top cars, and discuss different setup focus and driving style.

Another thing, is that the finns are extremely technically advanced. There are a lot of great inventions, and very interesting setups around that really works.
They have a high level of setup knowledge and really are a driving force when it comes to taking Mini-Z racing to another level.

I even got to try the very very interesting ground breaking front end called LeVitezer! I cant say much about it, other than I am very happy to say that a production proto sample are on the way to Norway for some really extensive testing!
This product really has the potensial to change the way we do our setups and also guaranteed to mix up with the other high end manufacturers out there.

Keep checking in to see what the fuzz is all about!

I have to give a big thanks to all the racers involved in this fantastic gathering. Top of the line facilities, fantastic racing and heavy partying!
Special thanks to Wallu for letting me into his home and taking care of me in the best manner:)

I hope to see you guys soon.
