Speedy PigZ Raceway ready

Finally. One year after starting the project, the facilities are finished.

A lot of work has gone into this.
The room started as an old grain dryer in a barn. It did not even resemble a room when it all started. Personally I looked at the planned space, and thought to myself that this can never be finished.
All the old flooring was removed. The walls, roof and floor were covered in a plastic barrier, and insulated well (Cold winters).

New walls, flooring and roof were added. Door and window installed. Stairs were buildt.
Electrical outlets are placed everywhere, and even more in the pit area.
Pheew. Lots of work, largely done by a one man team. Thanks to Mr. Tommy for his great work and contribution to our community.

The track were planned carefully, and of course completely rearranged when we started laying it down.
We did not have all the RCP parts we thought we did, but we are very happy with the results. The track is fast and has a very good flow. 5X10 meters in total.
Some small stuff still on the "to do list" but this is only buying tables, chairs and mounting the projector.

The club now has two permanent RCP tracks within 25 minutes drive. This is just awesome.

Hopefully we can start gathering more racers than before. The other track has a very limited space, and have  room for only 5 - 6 people (7 if you are not afraid of some man to man intimacy) Now we finally have the space to invite more racers to join in on the fun.

Since the track are located on a farm, in a barn, with pigs a couple of floors down, the name of the track really gave itself. As an honor to our very own farmer, we had to call it Speedy PigZ Raceway.

The Mini-Z interest in Norway seems to be growing, and hopefully it can grow even bigger than it once was. We need more people that really gives it all to make it happen, and with this and other both non permanent tracks and permanent track projects going on it looks like we are heading in the right direction.

For people interested in visiting us, please contact me by email.
Also feel free to visit the Speedy PigZ Raceway own site (Only in Norwegian)
